Stephanie McCormick, a licensed Massage Therapist, since 1987 began ear candling in 1990. John McCormick her husband was a craftsman who developed the machinery and technique in which to make the ear candle. Together they developed the method and recipe for making the ear candles. After making 1000’s of candles they finally came up with the perfect ear candle. The large 3/4 inch ear candle is tapered at the end that goes in the ear. Due to customer requests, they then developed two other sizes, the 1/2 inch and 3/8 inch ear candles. The 1/2 inch ear candle is the most popular size sold in Health Food Store. All three size candles work equally well. The smaller size burns slower than the larger sizes.
A Shield for holding the ear candle in place as well as protecting the hair and surrounding area from dripping wax was created and is very popular with practitioners.
Ear oil and Nose oil formulas made from high quality essential oils have been developed to go with the ear candling process.
